Freedom Dogs is looking for an innovative Executive Director willing to help lead Freedom Dogs into their next steps.  The Executive Director should have the proven ability to both listen to and communicate well with constituencies inside and outside of Freedom Dogs. This position requires a hands-on professional who is prepared to diplomatically deal with and resolve issues in real time as needed.

Job Purpose:

The Executive Director (ED) has the overall responsibility for leading the operation of Freedom Dogs.  The ED exercises discretion and independent judgment on matters of significance.  The ED reports to the President for administrative duties and the Board of Directors and is responsible for the strategic direction and success of Freedom Dogs while working closely with the CFO. 

General duties include: finance, accounting, management, preparing and administering the budget, guiding and developing long-term financial sustainability, directing and supervising all finance function including, but not limited to, risk management, budgeting, audits, operation compliance and grants management while adhering to applicable laws, regulations professions standards and policies and procedures.
